How the index works

01 / Sources

Roles come from employers’ public career pages and applicant-tracking systems. Each role links back to the employer’s original posting. A role is marked gone when it can no longer be confirmed at that source.

02 / Pay

Posted means the employer included the range. Estimate means ZeroDay calculated a comparable-role range from posted bands in this index. Estimates are never added to structured salary data or presented as an employer offer.

03 / Local profile

Resume text is processed in your browser and discarded. Saved roles, extracted skills, experience, preferences, and profile exports remain on this device unless you choose to export them.

04 / Usage analytics

ZeroDay assigns an anonymous browser identifier to count visits and interactions such as saves, outbound clicks, and applications. Page-view records can include the route, selected job or company, search text, filters, referrer host, campaign tags, and country. Detailed page views are deleted after 90 days; daily totals remain.

05 / Email alerts

An email alert stores the address and selected filters after confirmation. Every alert includes a stop link. Stopping it deletes the alert and address. RSS requires no email address.

06 / Limits

The index covers a curated set of employers, not every security role on the internet. Titles and specialties are classified automatically and may occasionally be imperfect. Always treat the employer’s original posting as authoritative.
